MWINDLE

Windle is an award-winning Dallas photographer and has been taking photos for the past 20 years. Through the lens, Windle captures the universal essence of emotions and narratives, transforming ordinary moments into visual tales that evoke deep emotions in viewers. Each composition exudes a hopeful and optimistic perspective, drawing in the viewer with a poetic charm. His images are meticulously crafted and printed on silver gelatin using darkroom analogue techniques, resulting in only two final prints—one for the artist and one for an exclusive recipient, imbuing the art with a profound sense of personal connection.

Over the years, my photography has become intertwined with family road trips. While others may prefer to have a say in their vacation destinations and activities, I find inspiration in surrendering control. This lack of control has pushed me to become comfortable walking into the scenes I encounter and capture what intrigues me while making the most of the opportunities that present themselves. Rather than researching places online beforehand, I embrace the present moment and actively immerse myself in each location.

During our trips, time is limited as my family takes in the sights and enjoys the vacation. Similarly, I am driven to make the most of each moment, quickly navigating my surroundings to capture compelling angles and intriguing views. This fast-paced approach results in candid images that authentically reflect the fleeting moments I encounter. The photographs presented here exemplify this approach.
